Lo cierto es que, hay años más dificiles que otros.
A veces es cuestión de cerrar un poquito los ojos y ver todo lo que hemos atravesado para entender en que nos hemos convertido.
Este, ha sido un año duro particularmente para mi. Con la pérdida de seres queridos, y lejos de poder sostener a los que me necesitaban tanto como yo a ellos.
Elegir el lugar donde vivo, tiene a veces, la dicha de hacernos felices, y muchas otras, la poca gracia que la distancia causa cuando el alma requiere el calor de la familia.
Navidad, es sin dudas, una fecha para abrazar a los seres que amamos, para recordarnos cuanto hemos deseado el re-encuentro. Para detenerla vorágine del año y pedir nuevos deseos.

Les vengo a proponer una mesa con mucho color, porque no siempre las navidades son típicas, ni tienen porque serlo.
Un centro de mesa clásico, y un rincón para los regalos, para el entretenimiento de la noche, la taza calentita de café (en mi caso con estas temperaturas en Holanda).

The truth is that some years are more difficult than others.
Sometimes it is a matter of closing our eyes a little bit and seeing everything we have been through to understand what we have become.
This has been a particularly hard year for me. With the loss of loved ones, and far from being able to support those who needed me as much as I needed them.
Choosing the place where I live, sometimes has the joy of making us happy, and many others, the little grace that distance causes when the soul requires the warmth of family.
Christmas is undoubtedly a time to embrace the ones we love, to remind us how much we have longed for a reunion. To stop the vortex of the year and ask for new wishes.

I come to propose a table with lots of color, because Christmas is not always typical, nor does it have to be.
A classic centerpiece, and a corner for gifts, for the entertainment of the evening, the warm cup of coffee (in my case with these temperatures in Holland).

VAMOS POR EL COLOR!

Que estas fiestas sean divertidas para toda la familia!
Elegí uno de tus colores favoritos y convertilo en el color central de tu navidad!
El mío ya sabes: el rosa!
Unos toppers lindos y divertidos siempre quedan bien para decorar la mesa dulce.
Y si en tu familia hay pequeños como en casa, podés sumar algunas golosinas bien temáticas para celebrar!

Los pequeños pinos de colores, o del color que hayas elegido siempre puede darle un toque especial a tu mesa. Podés añadirle el nombre de tu invitado, o usarlo para colocar en la mesa de comida con sus nombres! También podés atarle una cintita y usarlos de servilleteros, o hacer una linda guirnalda con luces para una arcada, la entrada principal de casa o para usar en la mesa!

Choose one of your favorite colors and make it the central color of your Christmas!
You already know mine: pink!
Cute and fun toppers are always great to decorate the sweet table.
And if you have little ones in your family, you can add some themed treats to celebrate!

Small colored pine trees, or whatever color you have chosen, can always add a special touch to your table. You can add the name of your guest, or use it to place it on the food table with their names! You can also tie a ribbon on them and use them as napkin holders, or make a pretty garland with lights for an arcade, the main entrance of the house or to use on the table!

En mi familia la tradición de abrir los regalos a las 12 de la noche sigue intacta. Por supuesto, cuando eramos pequeños (y eramos unos cuantos) todo resultaba ser un poco más mágico para nosotros, pero ahora tengo una de las más lindas excusas para que esa magia vuelva a mi casa para él; mi hijo Tino.
Preparamos un rincón cerca del árbol donde Santa dejará los regalos para abrir. Unos juegos de mesa, algunos cupcakes deliciosos y seguramente tomemos algo calentito para acompañar la noche con el frío que nos toca Navidad en invierno.
De la mesa grande donde comeremos la entrada y el plato principal, al pequeño rincón más acogedor donde pasaremos el resto de la noche del 24.

In my family the tradition of opening presents at 12 o’clock at night is still intact. Of course, when we were little (and there were a few of us) it all turned out to be a little more magical for us, but now I have one of the nicest excuses to bring that magic back into my house for him; my son Tino.
We set up a corner near the tree where Santa will leave the presents to open. Some board games, some delicious cupcakes and surely we will have something warm to accompany the night with the cold that we have for Christmas in winter.
From the big table where we will eat the appetizer and the main course, to the small cozy corner where we will spend the rest of the night of the 24th.
And you… how are you preparing?

Velas, pinos o deco de madera, sumale piñas si tenés a mano. Tu linda vajilla y la mantelería que reservaste para las fiestas!
